Artist's CommentsPLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION: White light is usually seen as a symbol of purity and of Good. In this picture I wanted to depict the contrast between water and light, the former being epitomized by a woman in the shadow, who's terrorized by the latter, the light (represented by a hand with claws) which is making her evaporate. As I said, the light is the evil. The water is dark because I wanted to make a different theme from normal... usually the light is the good, the dark is the evil simbol.. I changed the parts Comments Wow.
Really really nice. The colors are dense, the concept of the work is great too. Good luck on the contest.    Wow, semplicemente sublime *___*

In the sense the girl in darkness appears to be good while the hand in the light appears to be evil. Not quite sure if that's what you were going for. The girls face looks so afraid but gentle and good that I'm not too sure if she's representing evil, since she's dark, or if she's good that has been pushed into the darkness by evil feigning to be good. A little confusing. I love the art but maybe you should make it a little more clear on who's evil and who's good. -- Write or Die!  WTH took you so long to enter?

Critiques
First thing: The originality! Everybody things that light means good but in this picture we see that from the point of view of the water is not like this! This could be also a metaphore, I think, of our modern society...We can't be sure about what is good and what is evil cause somethimes wolves look like sheeps...
The impact is deep! First 'cause of the water woman look, I can really see her fear in her eyes...and the evil hand is really well done!
I really love the way you did the hair the give me the sensation they're really floating in the water and the light is absolutely awesome!
If you enlarge the picture you can notice another tiny world! There are a lot of little bubbles that sorround the hair and they are really well done: it looks like an instant photo 'cause the bubbles are as I aspected to find them! If I have to find something wrong maybe I would insert some bigger bubbles just to give to water more water sense! But it's a little detail!
Well it's all I wanted to say to your pic arya!! I hope you the best with the contest!
